Other Circuits and Styles

The great thing about building amps is trying all the circuits that you want to audition. If I see an amp design or hear an amp that draws me to it, I can usually find enough data on it to build one- or a reasonable approximation of it.
Take a stroll through some of the varied amps I have that don't fit the major manufacturers or styles in the rest of the site.
This combo is a replica of a Supro Model 24. Dual 10" speakers, dual 6973 power tubes, tremolo and just a great tone.
Inside I did up a totally modern eyelet board. Your never going to see a vintage Supro built this neat as they were wired point to point and a devil to work on for sure.
Below is another new build of an old circuit. This one is a Supro Thunderbolt done up as a head with a nice turret board circuit build. This amp sounded great.
This next amp is a "lunchbox" head build of a Silvertone 1484 circuit. These have been gaining in popularity as an alternative to the traditional Fender or Marshall tones. Thanks Jack White for that. Originals were made by Danelectro for Sears and built rather cheaply. This one was top shelf components and really cranked.
How about a custom Ampeg Bass amp. This is a dual circuit B-15 style using 6SL7 preamp tubes. A custom chassis and potted transformers. Took forever to build.
Here is the inside of a Badcat Hotcat replica circuit I built. Quite a lot of controls and two separate clean/overdriven channels.
These are just some of the many different circuits of obscure and out of print amps that I have done.
